CUTE AND CUDDLY FOR THE OUTLAWZ COPICS CHALLENGE THIS WEEK

Cute and Cuddly!

I love cute and cuddly cards and the theme at The Outlawz Copics Challenge is really easy this week!

To inspire you, I have made this card as my DT sample:

The image is a Sarah Kay that I printed on textured CS cardstock, and coloured using Copics:

I think it's visible from this detailed shot just how great the colouring on the textured CS looks.

To make up my card I used the following:

white CS card base
brown CS card mat
brown vintage DP
blue CS card mat
lacy die cut border
layered flowers
flatback pearls from BLUEBERRY BEAR
gems
sewn on sequins and beads
organza ribbon bow
peel off sentiment

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

ABC CHALLENGE, N IS FOR NOT JUST ONE (more than 3 embellishments)

RICK ST DENNIS MAY BLOG HOP

Good morning Smeared Ink Blog Hoppers!

If you arrived here via Aletha's blog - you are in the right place - just where you should be!  If not - click here to start at the beginning.

We're sharing creations using the new Rick St Dennis image called
"Moon Goddess"

Here is my interpretation:

I coloured the image using Copics and a white gel pen :

I attemped to get the gown to look transparent with my colouring, and the adornments coloured in green and lilac (isn't the moon made of green cheese?)

To embellish my card I used lots of texture : in the form of jelly star stickers, sequins and  beads :

I love the effect of these lazer cut large size sequins.  This is a better look at  the handbeaded dangle trim:

From here, you hop on along to the fabulously talented Lady Brayton.

Thanks for stopping here.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

CREATIVE MOMENTS, #17, CIRCLES (lots of lovely circular sequins on my card)
WHIMSICAL DESIGNS, MIX IT UP (Copics colouring, papercrafts, and bead embroidery on one card)

THE OUTLAWZ SKETCH CHALLENGE

Over at The Outlawz, the sketch challenge is this:

and this is my interpretation :

The image featured on my card is called "ETE'" from the Rick St Dennis Esty Store that has been coloured using Copics:

To make up my card I used the following:

white CS card base
yellow CS card mat
yellow/white printed DP
two rows of lace with sequins sewn on
organza ribbon
two paper roses
satin ribbon bow

I always sew on my embellishments, so that I am sure that they will stay where they're intended to be, and won't drop off :

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

THE OUTLAWZ TUESDAY COLOUR CHALLENGE

And this is my interpretation:

The image, last weekend's freebie from Krista over at Saturated Canary, was printed onto off white coloured Bazzil cardstock (the one with the artist's canvas texture) and then coloured using Copics:

I love the textured look that technique produces!

To add a bit of 3D interest I added three flowers to the flowerpot and some layered flowers behind them:

To makeup the card I used the following from my stash:
white CS base card
royal blue card mat with punched border
ribbon border
gems
round shaped tag
peel off sentiment
sewn on sequin stars and beads

I'd like to add this card to the following challenges:

 (ALWAYS FLOWERS!)

A BIRTHDAY CARD FOR SHAN

This is another order from a client.  Shan's friend is turning 21 and she ordered a card with no sentiments or numbers - all she wanted was something that she could present in a frame.  It had to be showy, shiny and girly ... this is it:

To create my card I used a Saturated Canary image, and the colours from the current Saturated Canary Challenge:

saturated canary digi

I printed the image on to beige Bazzill cardstock that has a lovely linen texture.  It gives the project a beautiful 'finished' look.  This cardstock accepts the Copics ink just wonderfully!   The colouring medium is Copics and a white gel pen was used to create the lacy look on the skirt, and I used some Stickles for the bling.

To make up my card I used the following from my stash:

beige textured CS base card
emerald green textured CS card mat
gems
real peacock feather
offcut of gem and sequin trim
the sequins and beads have been hand sewn onto the card
purple satin ribbon bow

I hope that this card is showy, shiny and girly enough.

In addition to the Saturated Canary Challenge, I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges too:

A CARD FOR GRAN

Last week a friend asked me to make a card for her son to give to his Grandma for her birthday at the end of May, and when I saw this freebie image from Mo Manning this past weekend, I knew that I'd use it for the card.

The image is called "Thanks" and you can find it in Mo's Digital pencil store.

I used Copics as the colouring medium, and a white gel pen for some highlights.  Here is a closer look at that sweet little image:

To create my card I used the following from my stash:

white CS card base
pale blue CS card mats
a scrap of blue floral DP
two narrow satin ribbons and bows
three mini paper flowers with flatback pearl centres
The sentiment is a peel-off.

I purposely kept the style of the card rather CAS, so that I can enter it into Bronte and Bella's challenge #184, which calls for a CAS card with a Mo image.

I would also like to add it to the following challenges:
BEARLY MINE, ##86, LUCKY DIP (RIBBON. FLOWERS.PEARLS)
